External security including Police barricading, bunkers removed from British high commission’s (HC) office and residence in India, following British government’s failure to take serious action against miscreants who vandalized Indian commission in London.
Previously on Mar18, Khalistani extremists tried to vandalize Indian high commission office in London, in support of Fugitive Amritpal Singh. The radicals pelted stones and disrespected Indian flag.
TUK high commissioner to India, Alex Ellis condemned the disgraceful acts, but no other specific action was taken to prevent this from occurring again.
Following this, Indian external affairs ministry responded firmly to the lack of security around Indian HC by downgrading the security from British HC office in Delhi.
After Indian Government removes security from British HC, the British Govt immediately deployed over 16 police vans and over 100 police forces to Indian High commision in London.
